Dear Brothers in Christ

  Greetings from Baghdad, its been a while since last time we correspond         

  with each others, and here I would like to share what happened to me

  in the last 2 weeks.

  Tuesday 16th Jan. at 3:45 pm,  our Geart Lord Saved me and my family,  

  we were about to be killed, an unknown armed people attacked the
  street where I live and the grocery shops which is beside my house,
  thousands of bullets were randomly shot, no body was believing what is
  going on , we just tried hard to hide some were in the house that may
  looks safe, this thing last for 30 minutes we thought that we will
  never see the sun again, after some minutes of silence I opened the
  door to find 5 bodies in front of my house door and there was more
  than 12 people killed and 40 injured some of the cases was very
  serious.  They killed every thing was moving in the street at those
  minutes, I and my son John came to house from the grocery shop just before 15
  minutes, if we were late a little bit there is no doubt that we were
  killed, more than 20 shops which is my neighbor and are beside my
  house was smashed some of their owners are killed and they are close
  now.

  Since Tuesday I was not able to leave my house, the children was
  shaken from the fear and they don't want me to leave them a minute,
  no one of them is able to go to school and they have a serious shock as
  well as me and my wife.

  The situation is so bad in these days more than 500 people were killed
  and injured in these days because of several attacks and bombings.

  In the middle of all that we have the electricity for one hour a day,
  and it's so hard to afford for the gasoline for generators for so many
  hours daily so we are spending very hard days and dark cold nights and
  that makes the children and even us more down.

  Saturday 20th Jan. at morning and while we get out from house after 4
  days to go to church for the bible lesson service, on our way we had a
  car accident because of some Iraqi military cars were passing and one of
  the civil cars driver lost control of his car.
  This is the second time within one week we were about to be killed
  because these military cars usually shoot the cars in these conditions
  but it seems that they noticed a woman and children in the car so they
  didn't shoot.

  Tuesday 23th Jan. the armed people returned again to the neighborhooh
  but this time there was some one who stopped them, 2 bullits hit my
  car to add another 2 halls in it, thank GOD for no one was hurt.

  Then... I don't know why all this is happening, all these events in  two
  weeks? its too tough, I know that  your prayers and the prayer
  answering GOD is keeping us from any harm, I believe that HE Has a
  plan and purpose for each one life and I am proud that mine is tough
  somehow, please keep us in your prayers which I am sure that these
  prayers is protecting us.

  Please continue and keep in touch in letters, I feel very happy and
  rest when I receive letters from you, once again please don't forget
  me in your prayers
